Countering the shortage of university housing, Haymarket Landing opened its doors for an open house to downtown Eau Claire on August 22. Owned by Haymarket Concepts LLC comprised of Market & Johnson, Commonweal Development and Blugold Real Estate, Haymarket Landing has responded with 154,372 square feet of residential space. The building also features 33,441 square feet of commercial space and 44,179 square feet of underground garage.

The second through sixth floors will house 400 upperclassmen and graduate students from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Comprised of studio, one, two and four-bedroom options, the apartments are all equipped with air conditioning and personal kitchens. From their personal patios or a communal rooftop terrace, students are feet away from stunning views of the Chippewa and Eau Claire Rivers. Move-in day will begin September 1 for transfer students.

The commercial space will occupy the first floor of the building open to Barstow sidewalks. This floor of Haymarket Landing will feature a café, fitness center and restaurant facing the Chippewa River.
