Mine The Bird is a patent-pending idea where cryptocurrency would be dispersed throughout a community and could be picked up via smartphones. Mark's venture is capitalizing on a new technology that could have significant implications in the near future.

DENNIS L. HEYDE
ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM

The Dennis L. Heyde Entrepreneur Program was established at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1994, through a substantial gift by Dennis and Carol Heyde. The program helps students learn how to start a business. As part of that process, they envision and define their success, search for an idea and workable model, connect with helpful mentors, develop plans, and determine their next steps. Students can earn a:

•   Major in Management with an Entrepreneurship Emphasis
•   Minor in Entrepreneurship
•   Certificate in Entrepreneurship (that can be paired with any UW-Eau Claire major or minor)

In addition to innovative and comprehensive coursework, entrepreneur students gain knowledge through hands-on projects. They interact with customers and community, and experience what it means to be part of a healthy entrepreneurial ecosystem.
